SONOMA COAST SERIES

I created my Sonoma Coast Series, because the stunning California Coastline provides endless inspiration, serenity and joy for me.  I have spent countless moments hiking the magnificent landscape, exploring the towering, rugged coastal bluffs, experiencing the wildflowers blooming in the hills, picnicking on the sandy coves and sipping wine while watching the performance of a sunset. 

The dramatic Northern California and Sonoma coastline can be harsh with its black, craggy rocks and crashing waves, but it is approachable and beckons me to sit and stay awhile. I am drawn in with its beauty and invigorating presence. I feel at peace with the contrast of the soft sand, the smell of sea salt and the sound and dance of the waves. Spending time in this special place ignites my sense with inspiration and emotion, which brings about my passion to go back to my studio and paint the marvelous wonder of the sea.
